The Sugarcreek, Ohio, community is mourning the tragic loss of Marcus Miller, who died Sunday morning following a fatal multi-vehicle motorcycle crash on State Route 39. The 26-year-old’s sudden death has left family, friends, and loved ones grieving the loss of a young man whose life was cut short in a devastating collision.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 10:37 a.m. in Sugarcreek Township. Investigators said Marcus was riding a black 2011 Kawasaki EX250 westbound on State Route 39 when a red 2016 Mazda CX-5, driven eastbound by an 84-year-old Dover woman, attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 77 (Prysi Road).
Authorities reported that the Mazda crossed into the westbound lane, causing Marcus’s motorcycle to strike the passenger side of the SUV. The impact threw both Marcus and his motorcycle across the center line, where they collided with the front of an eastbound 2023 Nissan Rogue driven by a 49-year-old woman from Coshocton.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and immediately began lifesaving efforts. Despite their attempts, Marcus Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators confirmed that Marcus was wearing both a helmet and full protective riding gear at the time of the crash. The drivers of the Mazda and Nissan were not seriously injured.
Marcus’s passing has deeply affected the Sugarcreek community, where he is being remembered as a beloved son, family member, and friend.
